Bull Shoals Lake

As of Wednesday, the Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake’s elevation at 652.00 feet msl (normal conservation pool – 654 msl).

Mike Worley’s Guide Service said the water temperature is in the mid- to upper 40s. Bass are biting well on windy days on Alabama rigs, shad- or crawfish-colored crankbaits and suspending jerk baits. Jigging spoons are working on sunny days in about 20 to 40 feet of water under any schools of shad you can find on your electronics. Walleye are starting to spawn and are biting in the late afternoon on jerk baits, shad-colored crankbaits and live minnows fished on split shot rigs or jig heads. We have had a couple of cold very windy days that have slowed the water warm up but the forecast is for a warming trend with some rain which will help to get the walleye bite going.

Bull Shoals Tailwater
